Grey Matter - Out Now

The Light Room is a band project that I've wanted to do for years, and finally I've gotten around to it! The first Light Room album, Grey Matter, was released on Monday 30th November 2020 and you can listen to all of the songs and download the album via my Bandcamp page. The full album is also available for streaming and download on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and in the iTunes Store. Here's a sneak preview of the songs:

The Bubble - Out Now

After a long wait to put out my second solo album, it's finally ready: The Bubble is available to download from my Bandcamp page and is also available for download via iTunes and on all of the major streaming services (including Spotify, Tidal, iHeartRadio, MediaNet, Apple Music, Deezer, Napster and Amazon). A limited run of vinyl pressings is soon to follow, so look out for that; but in the meantime click on the album cover image below - an original print by visionary artist Richard Watkins - so check it now, and take a journey beyond the sun!

Howling Wolf Mk1

I am thrilled to share the news that one of my pieces just got selected for the latest Cities and Memory global project, 'Yellowstone' - this composition of mine, called Howling Wolf, was framed around a field recording of two Lamar Valley wolves howling at the dawn. I've been developing ideas along these lines for some time now, and the 'Mk2' version will feature on my hopefully-very-soon-to-be-forthcoming album Experiments In Sound, which has been over ten years in the making and has sat by patiently whilst I have attended to many other things that I could not neglect.

You can listen to Howling Wolf (Mk1) by clicking on the image below to open the Yellowstone project page: it's the third one down from the top of the list (the original field recording is called 'Wolves'). Enjoy!

Sounds of SOAS

If you're in the area of London village and the snow hasn't stopped you moving, then come on down to the Brunei Gallery at SOAS to hear an amazing array of musical sounds from all over the world. I'm doing a short set with Rajasthani tabla player Mohanish Jaju, and we've never even met before so it should be fun! Click on the image of Mohanish and me below to follow a link to the Facebook event:
